in this random rambling thread we post random pictures

There isn't enough data to conclude that grain free diets contribute to DCM. Dobermans will get DCM more than all other breeds COMBINED. 40% of Dobies will get DCM. 50% of them will have sudden death.
Out of the 5 I've lost, 3 had DCM, 2 had sudden death.
Bella is on a grain free diet. It is called "meat". So is the min pin puppy.
I had a Golden of mine..just drop. Gone. In front of me. We never knew why. Now I have to wonder if that's what it was. Only 4 years old. A BYC member was so sweet when she read about it here. Asked me to pick out my favorite photo of us and she would draw it for me. People on here are amazing. I have it hanging on my bedroom wall.

Thank you! If you ever add one to your family, you'll likely never want another breed.
Really doubt that. I am happy with breeds i have owned. Friend of mine had a doberman that jumped through a plate glass window! And ate their sofa. The ones i groomed were always nice to work with.

Dobermans aren't for everyone, that's for sure. But, the person I responded to has always loved the breed, but has never had a Dobe family member. Thusly, if they ever added one to their family, they'd likely not want another breed. Of course, that's assuming they have familiarity with the breed.

I've had Dobes over a span of 36 years. None have ate my sofa or jumped through a plate glass window.

Yes, I would have one today but I'm getting old..er. 😜 They take some exercise that keeps them from doing destruction. They're not a lap dog. :) 😀 Like I said, if I were younger..plus if I had known the breed better back in the day I'm pretty sure I would have had one.
