I had a pet grey squirrel back in the 70s. I made a little collar for her from a cat collar, and hooked a leash to it. Took her all over the place with me. She was afraid to jump on trees, but climbed people very well.

I had mine in the late 40's.

It was a rare treat for a Tit Mouse to pay us a visit.

We see them a lot at the feeders in winter.

Same here. I think they are the "cutest" of the wild birds here.

I designed and built a cedar roofed bird feeder with a slide out dish for meal worms that starlings couldn't get to. It worked fine until Mr. Squirrel opened up the entry door for the bluebirds so they could raid it and then the starlings took over. I just took it down because the city didn't like for gunfire to be heard. Some of those city neighbors had never lived in the country. Here in my AL rural farmstead gunfire maybe as bad as Chicago, Miami, New York and other big cities. Someone a few acres over has been trying out his new semi auto. I want one. I don't want to miss a predator that is taking chickens in the day time now.
