Waste not, want not. I'd be using them up any way I could also. I'm more used to mesquite or hickory smoked meats but I've used whatever was available at times.

It ended up like this )) Chicken marinated with onions. Generally, ready-made charcoal is sold in stores for such things, but few people buy it because we can always find free branches )

And this is my favorite folding knife. I use its fork to stir onions.

My favorite pot. It was made in the Soviet Union, its bottom is rusty, but I still use it to marinate meat with onions. I got this pot from a neighbor who sold his house and decided to throw away his old things. For some time, this pot served as a feeder for geese, I poured grain into it, but then it became too small (I keep about 50 geese) and I took it for myself, and began to put a bucket for the geese.

Apple compote. I decided to place it under the stairs. Usually here it is customary to close compote in jars, but I have accumulated so many empty bottles that I decided to use them.
