A few years ago I had coffee (once!) with I guy that I had met through eHarmony. At the Starbucks he confessed that he wasn't 47 (the high end of my acceptable age range), but rather was 57.

He had a son 3 years younger than me. The guy was close to my dad's age at the time. Ugg. I asked why he felt that he needed to lie about his age and he said he liked dating younger women. I then asked if perhaps he shouldn't be truthful and let us decide if we wanted to date old men. It wasn't a long coffee break...
Just one of the reasons I gave up on internet dating...
