In WNY, getting ready to build duck coop... any tips?

You can keep them outside to free range, but they will still need protection from predators, especially at night.

Hey Im from the same area, Newfane. Im currently building a combo duck chicken coop. This is my first adventure into birds. TSC in Lockport suckered my girlfriend so Im stuck with the birds lol. 12 assorted chickens and 6 Khaki Campbells. They are a few weeks old and the chicks are fully feathered ducks a little ways behind. Out here I have the space and scraps so my coop will be pretty big. Based solely on the size of my ducks already thats my only option.
