In Years of Chicken Keeping, This Is My FIRST Ever Totally Shell Less Egg!!

I've had an egg business and lots and lots of chickens for years and years now. Today I found my first totally shell less egg! It's perfectly formed, with white and yolk and membrane, but no shell at all. Wow! I have 38 laying hens and have no idea who did this. Your thoughts???

When my chickens started laying, one of them laid a shell less egg right on my welcome mat lol

I bet it's not your first, just the first one you've seen. What usually happens with shell-less eggs is that they are laid off the roost, or are smashed, and then they get eaten.

Most of my hens are 3. Four of them are 1, and one of them is 4. I'm hoping it's a fluke too!

Just be sure they have access to oyster shell.....

I have two coop and runs. In both runs I have a big saucer of oyster shell. I see them pecking away at it. I guess this girl didn't!!!
