If you made 100,000. You payed in max. SS taxes, now thay want you to pay untill you make 200,000. Is that not a tax increased. Just get ready more new taxes , taxes , taxes.

Not only gas is the big chuck of our income but what about food and energy fuels to heat or cool our homes???????

Everything is connected, economically. The price of gas may drive up the price of food, etc. What happens in Europe and Asia has repercussions here, too. Everything is connected and happens for a reason, though those reasons aren't always obvious to the average consumer. To an economist, they'd be easy to spot.

Remember, businesses aren't in business to be a charity. Their goal is to make a profit. They are not required to charge a certain price that everyone can afford. Choose to buy products that you can afford, and the businesses that want to stay in business -- and have your business -- will have to lower their prices.

People are cutting back on their driving too can influence the gas prices to go down. Now its back up since the war started in Israel.

Did anybody see the 60 Minutes piece on gas prices the other day? Very interesting to see that the increase and the fall had nothing to do with supply / demand but had everything to do with speculation, i.e., tech bubble, housing bubble, oil bubble.
