hinkjc, he was a beautiful boy. The dream catcher is such a nice rememberance of him, too. Sorry this happened to you. eBay can be FULL of jerks.

I noticed his copy of the pic is hosted by Auctiva. I would report him to that site since you are the owner of the picture and he is using it without your permission. It's ironic that if you right-click on the pic, it gives a warning message about the image being protected by autiva.

Hey, I just want to say how much I appreciate every knowlegable person on this forum, I have deleted all my pics from photo bucket, and have set it to private too.
I'm so sorry it happened to you hinkjc, but I'm glad that you found out atleast.

Yeah, I saw that too after someone suggested changing out the pic. I went to see if he was using it right from my album and he's not. He has fully stolen them and taken them as his own. There is absolutely no tie back to us as the owners of the picture.

EEK!!!!! I just did that; thank you for the instructions. I didn't realize the photos were public. I thought that was the point of having to LOG IN WITH A PASSWORD!!!!

Jody, your Roobie was a beautiful roo and I'm sorry that this happened, but I know I've learned from this so thank you. I hope they yank that ad.

You're welcome. I have changed ours to private as well.

I actually liked keeping our album open for folks to see our birds, but if this is the result of it, I just can't do it.

I am going to do that right now! I do agree that if I were looking at that auction, I would think that those pics are of the seller's flock...not someone else's birds. If the intent was to show an adult BO specimen, then they should have stated that the pic was for reference/example only! I'm emailing them right now.

Yes, I believe that would work, unless the thief isn't directly linking to the photo. Does eBay require that sellers upload photos from their own PCs, or can you just use HTML to display an image that is posted elsewhere? If the photo thief just uploaded an image that s/he already saved to his or her own hard drive, this won't cause the image on the eBay ad to change.

Yeah exactly! People don't think they will get caught. It's unfortunate that this happened. I hope they pull the ad too! I can imagine how hurt you are by this.
