These are the 24 eggs we bought from the local craft shop where locals sell their wares. We will put them in the incubator in a few days when it's empty, just waiting on a few eggs.
We've hatched these sort of eggs before and have got some pretty chicks.
We know the coloured eggs are Araucana but that's it lol.

So as it turns out, there aren't many chicken eggs fertile. None of the brown ones are fertile and I can't see in most of the green ones, very frustrating.

On a happier not, I quickly candled the duck egss and I know I've got 6 fertile, if not more. I even saw movement in one. I'll try to video it when I get some help.

The chicken eggs go into lock down tomorrow. My wonderful husband is making me an incubator I will be able to see all around to watch the hatch.

Once the chicken eggs are out I can get rid of the turning egg holders to X and O the ducks eggs till their lock down on the 20th. In my opinion the hatch rate is better if they are manually turned 3 to 5 times a day.

This is what have made it to lock down. There were a lot that weren't fertile.
Now all we have to do is watch and wait. I tend to have the humidity on the high side throughout, so it's not uncommon to have some early pipping. See you then.
