Incubating against the odds...

So when i mentioned the last text, number one was shaking back and forth...it has finally pipped, but still shaking. I've never seen an egg move so much except real close to hatching time. Definitely has me worked up, but i can't do anything for it, so i just keep checking on it.

Looks like most are very dark, with one gray one.
#2 was candled in bright conditions and a beak was moving in air sac.
6 also candled, nothing to be seen...
Will keep locked down until two comes out, then check again.:fl

Here's Pictures of all the little Tinys so far! They pretty much all look the same except the little "Blue" one.. They are Blue Copper Maran X EE.

Alright, so koop woke me up sometime late last night... He's a bit of a softy for the birds. Everytime #2 would make her lonely calls he would run to the door. Anyways, she is fine and in the brooder with the rest of them...

As for number six, looks like we lost it during lockdown somehow. I am still quite a novice as to why birds "quit" but when i opened it up at the air sac i saw a body with minimal amounts of yoke left... So it was almost finished absorbing and then it would have turned to make the internal pip.
But 7 out of 9 with one infertile*.
Id say that is a decent hatch rate for what we were up against.

Thank you all for hanging around! Hatch videos should be up soon!

Ryn.

In case you would like to watch the first little OE hatch! Only got one good video since they were night time hatchers. Like waking up on Christmas day but for adults!
:highfive:

Thanks for being apart of our hatch, we will probably post pictures of them while they are growing to this thread if anyone is interested.
