Incubating and hatching eggs chat thread!!

I'm hatching khaki campbell duckling right now! 2 have hatched! 3 of them are pecking away right now and I don't see anything yet on the other 2. This is my first time hatching. So my question is when do I take the already hatched ones out? They are fluffing up nice but it looks to me like they are trying to drink the yuck water in the bottom of the bator.

Newly hatched ducklings will be tired and should be left in the incubator to dry out for 12 to 24 hours after hatching. Maintain good ventilation during this time.

:welcome If they are all fluffed up and your brooder is ready. And if you don't have any zipping out or large pips. And if your incubator recovers heat and humidity quickly . You can take them out whenever you want .That's a lot of ands ain't it congrats on the hatch .

I just raised some ducklings. And I gave 25 more coming next week. I learned the hard way. A ready source of water to swim in will kill ducks if they CAN'T get out or warmed up. Even fully feathered 10 week olds.
