Incubating and hatching eggs chat thread!!

I was looking at silkie eggs that were on ebay that were about 2 hours from me! I think I might get some of those.

My incubator is kind of cheap, do you think anything will hatch out of it?

All you can do is try. You might find someone local with yard eggs and do a trial run before buying off ebay

I'll do that! Or I might get some eggs from Meyer's hatchery

First buying hatching eggs from a hatchery is crazy expensive. Its cheaper to buy the chicks. The Cornish, are not for meat.lol These are birds that have had years of breeding dedicated to SOP. They came from a fellow BYC member. I owe him a debt that I'll never be able to repay.

I think at Meyer's hatchery I can get 7 eggs for $25 counting shipping

I am going to hatch some white ameraucanas soon! I have a 7 egg incubator, a lot of people said they couldn't get anything to hatch out of theirs because they are so cheap.
But I'm hoping I have some luck!
Has anyone ever gotten eggs off of ebay?
