Incubating call duck eggs..

Okay! I only have an upright turner! Will that be okay to put the ducks eggs in an upright turner for 3 days?

yeah that should be fine if i were u i would have probably put them in the turner on day 1

Really, why? The more developed duckling are swimming all over the place in the egg. When I title of up they don't seem to be in any distress. I was hand turning, because many websites say it is better to let them be incubated on their sides...

for best results id recommend turning every hour on the hour 

I hand turn my Call eggs three times a day
and I've always had wonderful hatches!

I am leaning towards putting them in the upright turner for the 2 days that I will be away. Sounds good???

If I were you, then yes I'd just put them in it for the 2 days... but I *think* I read somewhere that if you need to use an upright turner to just tape the eggs sideways to the turner over the spots for the eggs... I'm not really sure on that though and you'd have to watch it to make sure the eggs don't get caught between the slats when they tilt fully...

I worry what happens if the tape loosens while I am away and the egg falls off of the turner tray and cracks, kinda risky. I also don't want to then have glue from the tape stuck of the egg shell. Then it will be all stick and gross, no?

Help! I have had 5 call ducklings hatch and lost 2 that had almost zipped out. I know there are a few more that are peeping and pecking but have not pipped out externally. Should I do something to help them out?

Blue painters tape won't leave sticky residue and you should make it long enough to wrap completely around the egg and the turner slat 2x so it wouldn't loosen and pop off... but if you are worried about it, then just set them in the turner for the 2 days upright... can't think of anything else...

How long have thry been pipped internally? You might want to make a safe hole in the air cell so they don't suffocate... take a tack or nail and spin it gently to start a hole in the shell, candle to make sure you don't poke their beak, and pick off enough shell to see inside and make sure their beaks are clear of the membrane...
