Incubating Duck Eggs With RCOM20 - not turning fully !

I have an Rcom and didn't know that it doesn't turn the eggs fully. Could be why my last batch didn't fair so well. I do assist in turning though and open the lid to bring some fresh air in.
If you mark them on both sides you will see if they turn the whole way or not. :)

I only noticed when I marked the eggs on each side and saw that my marks were not coming all the way round

would this effect the hatch rate if it was left to do it own thing without me/ us turning the eggs as well?

I havent had more than 50% hatch in the 3 times I have used it - so maybe this is the reason why

Perhaps I need to go for smaller eggs so they will rotate more.

I also have a RCom King Suro, I got them both within a month of each other. I really like both of them, for convenience and accuracy. One lays the eggs sideways and one holds the egg upright. I haven't had them long so the jury's still out on what eggs are better where. I do know my RCom King Suro is much easier to clean! I over filled my RCom20 which you are not supposed to do and I did have a couple eggs that didn't hatch. I even bought the special egg slot shaped turner for it to help them to turn all the way and it made no difference at all.
