What is the correct humidity for incubating duck eggs? What about lockdown? I have heard several different answers. Please help.

tay_boe, here is what i've read and put into use. run your temp at 99.5* and your humidity at about 58% up untill lockdown, then bump your humidity up to about 78%. this i'm sure will vary depending on what type of bator you're using. i'm using a brower top hatch* with auto turner and fan. i was having some high humidity issues and contumplated going dry untill lockdown, but things have leveled out and i'm holding steady at about 60%. not worth loosing my temp to mess with it. i'll just use cool water to maintain the humidity. i hope this has been helpful, we're really new at this ourselves, but we have hatched 5 pekins and have 21 in the bator going on week 2.good luck and keep us posted.
