Hello, I have questions about incubating eggs for other chick lovers. How many eggs does someone usually bring and how much would I need to charge? What are some of the liabilities in hatching chicks.

I would charge 10$ since it just incubating and if they hatch for the care of he chicks 7$ so all together 17$ If I run out of there gonna pay me the food money so depending on the sallary. Probably a dozen eggs they might bring. Maybe flat per chick.

Depends on the market rate, Where I live you can get space in someones incubator for as little as $1 per egg, weather it hatches or not. They typically charge a by the day service fee for any chick they have to care for beyond day 1 outta the shell. These people usually have cabinets that will each do 500+ eggs, professionally built etc etc

Liabilities? I would say you run the risk of being accused of something if the person who paid you does not trust your word when it comes to things like dud eggs, weak eggs that died along the way etc. If its something valuable, then I guess you run the risk of a civil challenge if it doesnt pan out, but realistically it would be arguing over the monetary value of 'potential outcome'

I do it regularly for a neighbor, That person has had issues with other people treating them wrong but I tend to keep things cool with that person. we do each other favors pretty regularly. They double check my sexing work before I sell my ducks to the general public, Ive got 18 of hers in the egg oven as we speak, we will typically split the hatch and I will keep or sell my half. Shes always been more than fair with me about splitting the gender, and Im doing her a solid because their eggs she cant get sold in time, or does not have a broody to put em under. its a win win for me. If all 18 pan out its 9 ducks in my pocket for a minimum potential of $135 assuming every single one I get is a male. I didnt have to maintain anything, eggs were handed off to me for nothing and all they did was take up some of my electricity and some of my hobby time.
