Two more hatched this afternoon now taking the count to 11 chicks! Pretty happy for that success for my first attempt at incubating![]()
I still have two eggs in the incubator but not holding my breath, I'll candle them tomorrow if they don't hatch just to make sure. But to have 11 out of 14 at lock down is a pretty successful hatch in my books.![]()

That's great! Congrats!I candled the last two eggs and it looks like they stopped developing a week ago. So the total hatch was eleven chicks and I'm extremely pleased with my first go at incubating.
What gets me is by day two you can already see the tips of their wings feathering in!! They sure don't stay fluffy long!It's amazing how fast they get on their feet, drink and eat. I saw one chick yesterday taking a step forward scratching and steping back again to take a look! 2 day old and scratching already![]()
