Let me start at the top. This is our first time incubating, we were hoping one of our girls would go broody soon, but it wasn't happening so we decided to incubate. We are using a Harris Farms Nurture Right 360 and so far everything is going pretty perfect. I have been keeping a decent log of the room and incubator temps and humidity 3 times a day.
In addition to 10 of our girls' eggs that I am very certain of the dates, I bought a dozen from a local breeder as well. The dozen I got from here were half English blue orpington and half black ameraucana. She did tell me that a few of her girls were broody so they might be a day or so ahead of mine. Once I was ready to place the eggs in the incubator I candled them to see if there appeared to be any "over developing". I did mark a few of the eggs as maybe a bit more than fresh laid, but not by much.
It's day 5 of incubation so I decided to candle the eggs to check for duds. I think that one of my eggs is SIGNIFICANTLY further along than the others.
All of my girl's eggs seem to be right on the mark, except for one that may be a dud. But out of the 12 from her, 2 appear to be duds, 4 seem to be right on the money, 5 seem to be a day or two ahead of mine. But one really seems to be much further. At first I thought it was bad because it was so much darker than the others that I couldn't see any veining. My first though was a big blood ring. But just as I was about to set it down, I noticed it really moving around inside!

from what I could see, it looked like somewhere between day 8 and day 10 in the image above.
So....... What am I supposed to do with an egg that is so much further ahead than the others? Ho do I know when to take out the automatic turner and go on lockdown? Heck, do I just keep the humidity set for the other eggs and hope that this on makes it?
I need some advice on which way to go at this point. Obviously, there are more eggs on track than the single egg farther along. However, I would really like to see if I can get this one through as well without compromising the other eggs. I was really hoping for some blue orpingtons and 2 already seem to be duds, so that brings me down to 4 remaining with one of them being the more advanced egg.
Help.......
