i have just received 3 emu eggs to incubate. actually received 4 -- 3 intact and one scrambled egg.
i know that the incubation temp is lower than that for chickens and the humidity lower, but are there any special tips anyone has for this novice emu hatcher? any help would be appreciated!

I have 5 in my little hovabator, dutifully hand turning! I keep it at 97 degrees and 35% humidity. We are at day 19. I read that tapping replaces candling but I have no idea about that. This is just a silly project to see what happens! I think I will wait I while longer and try listening with a stethoscope for heartbeats. Good luck to you and keep us all posted .

I have a neighbor who raised emu for about 15 years, I'll talk to him to see if he has any input...
