I purchase mine from Amazon and I just checked at it qualifies for free shipping. As previous posts said it really does everything for you - I was surprised how much a mother hen does in hatching eggs. It even has a cool down period to simulate when she would leave the nest to get a drink or some food.
 
There is a disk with gear teeth that is driven by another gear (motor) that fits into the "pocket" (upper right in picture) of the base. The eggs fit through the egg shaped holes so that they are scooted or rolled along as the geared disk is turned. The length of time the disk is turned determines how much the egg is turned. You can get smaller or larger holes in the disk for smaller, quail, or larger, duck, eggs.

The feature in the center is the well where you keep filled with water to control the humidity. Hope this helps.
