I started a batch of eggs yesterday the humidity was between 50 and 55 yesterday and also this morning. I checked this eve and it’s now 60%. Is this ok or do I need to lower it?

I try to run my humidity between 30% to 35% during the incubation phase. Running at 50% or higher doesn't let my eggs lose enough moisture causing a failed hatch due to the air cell being too small at lockdown.

I think the "official" guide (by official, I mean what most manufacturers of incubators use) is:

Incubation: 40-50% RH
Hatching: 60% RH +

I think as R2elk has fair points that it's not an exact science, close is good. 60% during incubation would see high to me. I'd strive for 35-55 range if possible.

My last hatch varied from 55-60% throughout incubation and I had a 100% hatch.
