Incubating for the first time.

Yes. I use a Hovabator 1602n incubator combo

The question was did you use a calibrated hygrometer to check the humidity. Incubators are notorious for having inaccurate humidity readings.

I try and keep my eggs at 40-45% while incubating. I increase it to 55-60% while hatching. Because, I incubate and hatch in the same machine at the moment, while I have eggs incubating at the same time as hatching, I try and keep a constant 50-55%. I have a very reliable humidifier that even after opening the door and it dropping to 30%, it gets back to 50% within a minute or 2. I've had very good luck.

Thanks for all the input. I’m trying to hatch eggs from my flock so I won’t be out much if they don’t hatch. Giving my kids a science experiment sense they have to do their learning from home now.
