I kept mine wrapped in a sock and tucked into a tiny pouch. When I showered, I just tied the pouch strings behind the showerhead, where it wouldn't get wet but would still be warm.

Good idea. That way the steam actually could be absorbed by the egg thus adding a little extra humidity
