Incubating pekin

Yes, where i thought was maybe poop or something like i had asked the other day, when i opened it that spot was actually a green slimey vein type thing. His membrane where hes supposed to pip was thin and moist, and then as him being upside down
 
I'm guessing he quit maybe 3 or 4 days ago. :hugs
Green is "usually" a sign of some type of infection. There will be green-ish poop gooey looking stuff that is normal, but infection will usually show inside the yolk sac itself.

Okay, then im guessing he didnt have infection, everything else was as it should be, color and consistency. Next sprinng i will be innvesting in an incubator and goin from there. Thank you all so much
 
Ducks need more moisture than a chicken egg.

Duck eggs can have a slight green tint to the shell to start, then as the duck grows in egg the feathers inside the egg can darken the look of the egg.
