Incubating quail

With a digital Hydromometer (or however you spell it) I would think.

Welcome to BYC. Do you have an instruction manual? Depending on the type of incubator there may be ports to open up to lower humidity or places to add wet sponges, water to increase humidity.

X2 Your incubator should have come with an instruction manual. You can control the humidity by working with sponges and opening or closing vents, just as Sourland has said here.

Good luck with the hatch!

You might want to try posting in the Quail forum about your hatch www.backyardchickens.com/f/48/quail it may depend on what species you are trying to hatch, most of the general info says to use ones less than a week old (and to be sure to store them properly).

Glad you joined us! Quail eggs, for best results, should be kept no longer than 1 week before setting them. Good luck with your hatch and the humidity!
