I will be getting 2 batches of serama eggs hopefully today. Is there anything different I need to do with them as far as humidity and temps, Also do I need to up the humidity before day 18 or 19 since I've heard they hatch a few days earlier than other chicken eggs.

Run the temperature a little hot, like 100 - 101 in a forced air.

There's a thread on the forum somewhere about incubating and hatching serama.

i agree with Ondra, keep to the regular temp for chicken eggs.

i also have better turn out when i do not disturb the eggs to candle them.

I just had a Serama egg hatch in my incubator this morning and did nothing special. Just make sure you have the humidity right and I continually checked that the temperature was right. I prefer a broody hen but I had no choice on this one.

I hatched 1 lil' Serama egg with my last hatch, was in with all the other eggs, so didn't do anything "special"... Only difference was that she DID hatch 24 hours before the others.

The only major thing I would do different is to stop turning and raise humidity a day or 2 early. They don't always go early but they do have a tendency to and despite running the same temps I had one batch pip early day 21 and 1 batch pip on day 19 with one hatching early day 19 and the rest day 20. Raising the temp is only guranteed to make them hatch earlier and I fail to see how that helps any. I might run humidity a little higher since I found the smaller eggs do seem to lose moisture faster but that's not necessary so long as you aren't trying really low humidity methods on your eggs. I would avoid doing dry incubation or really low humidity with any very small bantam or quail eggs. They just don't seem to do as well with it as standard eggs in my experience.
