I have just responded to people so many times asking the same thing, that typically they dont just go out and bye a wafer or a digital until they fidget with it a bit! Just a been there done it over and over kinda question that's all.

Actually I dont think I ever had anyone just say... ok I will go buy the wafer or the digital.... right off the bat like that when they already have a hot water one they workin with... so there

setting up a home built incubator, temp is running about 94-95 to 101-102 F I'm using an old mini frig with a lower hot water heater thermostat, circulation comes from a computer fan, any thoughts?

Too much variation.

I'd spend $20 and get a good wafer thermostat and ditch the water heater thermostat. Just my 2c....

Agreed, however, I'd go digital.

They been riding 4 wheelers on my land. I was not going to say anything about it. Just let em have fun. Well I get to my stand and they've cut my rope that I pull my gun up with and stole my cushions. Needless to say, there's posted signs every 50 ft now.

There's so little for kids to do around here now that I didn't mind. Thinking about it now though that's why there's nothing for them to do. When I was a teen I would go ask permission to fish and hunt someones land. Most of the time they'd let me. A few bad apples messes things up for decent people now. I honestly would let people hunt or fish if they'd ask. But if they asked , they're probably good people that would respect you and your land. I should've stopped them before.

actually I dont think she cares right now, she is really sick, she is still with fever since friday, she is at 101.7 just took it with my spot check cause the dang thermo took a crap... I think I am just gonna use it for takin temps from now on... cause it is SPOT ON!!! poor kid.... viral they say... but what a hackin she is doin her belly hurts so bad from coughin now she wont eat all she does is lay in my bed.

Sorry about that... it's just some of the saltwater and technology forums coming out. We always try/tried to talk people into not settling for something to "get by" with, and get the best they can afford. I'll try to control myself a little better in the future. I promise...

SOOOO sorry! My GD has had that bug. Ran a fever for about 10 days. Her mother has it now, hubby has it now. He's been sick for a week. Finally went to the Dr. (Wouldn't go last week, when I told him to.) But, he's been put on Albuterol and Prednisone. Hope it kicks in for him soon. Miserable night for him last night. I've been living on the couch, took the humidifier in for him at midnight. It blew a gasket, and spilled a gallon of water all over the bureau top, down into 3 drawers, and soaked the carpet and my pj's. I got about 4 hours of sleep last night. Then off to jury duty today. How I stayed awake through that, I'll never know!

Oh now Sally, but he has tried it and it don't work. LMAO. You know I'm a big advocate of digital t-stats. Why handicap yourself? It's not like you shoot and miss in a split second. You got 21-28 days to fret over unreliability and the possibility of crashing a whole hatch.

Just gotta rib on ya bit and I know what you are saying.
