What guns say when they shoot at you!

Yes Benny that pretty much sums it up. I've had the opportunity to become very familiar with the bottom 2. Not sure about the top one.

A veteran?

In response to butchering excess cockerels I know what you mean people are weird and think that meat grows on trees... In our household one person eats meat unless you count my brother in law who I probably should count because he's extremely helpful and we give him birds... They butcher cockerels I give them when they're big enough. I don't like to hatch too many cockerels lol but we do a lot of dual purpose birds and some smaller birds but I'm more likely to keep the smaller cockerels... I currently have an English orp, barnevelder, rock, a bunch of young silkies and a bunch of barnyard mix dual purpose birds... This next hatch this weekend could yeild some olive egger cockerels... I have no idea how someone would eat such a small bird or the silkies so I'm hoping they sell because I hardly have the heart to put them in the cockerel pen. I tell friends I give chicks if I didn't sex them and they get a cockerel they can bring it back if they're their only birds and the cockerel pen is acres away from our flock but it's still sad. This however is the humane way to get meat. You're totally on about that. No one says anything to me though because I'm sort of a take no nonsense lady so they learn all about why I'm right... And I'm a vegetarian so they listen... This is their fate and they have good lives :( when do you do yours are wise

I'll occasionally post some cockerels on Craigslist for $20-$30. If they sell, that's great but I know I'll end up eating most of them. I keep a lot of extras because of predation.

I may not be here. I may have this thread open on the computer but I'm probably outside most of the time.
I haven't bought any yet but I included a couple links of the least expensive ones I found a few posts back.
@Fire Ant Farm Hey guys, there is one of these on clearance on Walmart.com what is 35' 5/8". For 17.97.

Tell me about it!
The biggest thing I have shot was a 155 MM Howitzer!
To almost 30 km!
I was in an artillery group headquarters. A couple of our battalions were 155 units. One was an M50 Honest John battalion. It is considered obsolete now but it was a 5,800 lb., 27' long rocket with a range of 12 miles and capable of carrying an atomic warhead.

Tortoises are so much easier.

And they usually won't take your finger off.

No, someone asked what culling was last night and it opened a can of worms. Lol
Yea I was just saying it's farming... You can't keep like a million cockerels and people are t going to buy them for pets ;-/ it's just what it is and people used to understand that but we are separated so far now from our food I think some people think it grows on labs or something... Oh well...

I think most of us agree.. You kind of have to when you hatch. It's good knowledge to have if you start this hobby.
