Did you buy one or make one?
I borrowed one.

What do you recommend I view or read since I have never seen or done it.
I think I will order the powers plucker for a drill. How do you kill?
I don't know any brands.
I made a killing cone from metal flashing and pop rivets that hang on a post over the compost. Insert my sharpest knife near the neck bone and draw it forward to cut the jugular.

I think that a combination of washing machine drum and motor+belt with those rubber fingers that cost almost nothing you can do a very effective one!

Anyone dealt with swollen feet in hens? I can't tell if her toes are broken or she has bumble foot or a tumor or what? It doesn't look great. She's one of our youngest hens and hides under stuff a lot so she's not usually getting in the way of things

she was flipping out so u let her go but I have to go get her and see how she's doing in a sec
Sounds like bumblefoot. Does she limp?
The newest technique is to soak the foot in a hot Epsom salt bath a couple times a day. Then apply a CEH ointment. That's calendula, Echinacea and hypericum.

My husband is getting her feet washed and some better photos I hope. She tunnels under things so she really gets dirty and we have lots of things that they climb around on but she could get her feet stuck somewhere I guess... She's in with 28 hens in a small barn and they have a pen that's large and they eat well and all that and her eggs are good, nice solid shells... All I can think is infection from injury
The foot pad gets scratched and gets a staph infection.

Didn't say there'd be no grillin'; only that I won't be the one doing it. Cooking, by any method, is not one of my strong points

Right no
I like to cook and am pretty good at it. Probably cause I like to eat so much.

I always did the cooking when my wife and I were dating. We were already married when I found out she was a great cook.
My daughter can barely boil water but my son can cook anything.
He's been at every station in over 10 different kinds of restaurants - prep, fry, grill, sauté, line, pizza, salad, executive chef and kitchen manager.
I taught him everything I know.

Now he teaches me.
Right now I'm eating some spicy goat curry in a akeya rice and bean medley I made.
I need to grill up some oxtail today to make some soup.
