There are about 2 dozen left, and the humidity keeps rising up to the low to mid 70s. Seems to hang out right around 73%. I don't want to drown my other babies...
Today is day 21 BTW and my temp is staying right at 99.5 to 99.6
x2you are supposed to wait as long as possible for fear of shrink wrapping the unhatched eggs, but if you feel that you do need to open it make sure all chicks are dry and fluffy, and do it quickly and throw a wet paper towel in to get the humidity up
your humidity is probably up because of the drying chicks, how many are in there?
I have had VERY little luck with hatching eggs if I remove chicks too early. They are ok in there for 2 to 3 days. I'd wait until you don't see any pips or zipping. VERY quickly open it, grab chicks and close it. Like everyone says, throw in a WARM, wet paper towel, or rag to up the humidity quickly.
Good luck!
