I just got a call. My ex and his wife will not be picking up my 2-yr-old until after 8 tonight. Why? Because they have "stuff to do" and "need some down time".
I would love to forbid them from taking her. but I have to let him see her!
I hate that they are so stupid and self centered!

Hi! I know how you feel!!! When I plan vacations, I plan them WITH my daughter. Her father used to plan his vacations WITHOUT her. These days he is better at taking her on 3 or 4 day trips. I take her on 2 or 3 WEEK trips.


When we first divorced, my ex worked 4 am to noon. He would have our little girl every afternoon, but I had her every night. I got her on weekends. When his schedule changed, the first night she spent at her dad's I cried the entire night. It's been 12 years and I still resent the time she spends with them.

I would just look at it as they are allowing you more time with her!!!
