Ok, my humidity has been right around 65%. I just had 10 chicks hatch one right after another, and now it's in the 95% level. There is water buildup on the roof. Can I open it, to try to dispell some of the humidity? Or will that kill the pipped eggs? The chicks aren't drying.

I've had that issue as well. once they start hatching the humidity will jump. I open the lid on mine about 1/4" and let a small amount of the humidity out. Be careful not to leave it that way because it will drop quicker than you think.
I skimmed the posts, there was some intense conversations early this morning. Indiana dreamin - sorry for what happened to you, but so impressed with the path you are taking!
Who was going fishing today? Who wants to go fishing today?????
@DwayneNLiz - We have 16 hatched 8 in each incubator. There are LOTS of pips in both bators. I'll get photos when I take out the dry chicks tonight!
The first egg that pipped, was a malpo. As of this morning, it had only expanded the pip a tiny bit and the membrane was brown. I took it out, and just chipped all the way around the egg. I didn't see any blood, no yolk. But, the chick wasn't moving much. I moistened the membrane and put it back in. If it can finish breaking through the membrane, great. If not, it wasn't meant to hatch.
I was in a hurry when I locked them down, so I didn't try to separate them at all. I actually put a few from each batch in each incubator. Every egg that has hatched in the LG is black. In the Brinsea - we have black, brown, yellow and chipmunk. Not sure how that happened.
I do have photos of the Sebright, D'uccle, Mille Fleur, silkie and backyard mix eggs I hatched last week!!
