Intergrated to flocks of polish silver laced today. Started with seven down to 5 but everyones being very poliet. Sheesh about time.

@Jessimom

yes, but remember what I said about candling, you can candle here and there after day 7-10 to keep a closer eye on them.  This helps you to loose the best weight for the duration just not at the end of incubation.

@h2oratt

Thank you! I have about a month to research but hadn't come across any info about humidity in relation to color of the eggs yet.

Ok. So I have 21 chicks out. I think two are DIS, but one egg has an internal pip. I can hear it chirping but no external pip. The first chick was out at 6 am yesterday...do I do anything yet?

What hens are broody..i mean can you share their feathers with us?

Sure. They started on May 28th and have been adding ever since. Too many trying and it's been give and take for them with eggs. For the most part they are keeping them covered.

will do!

OMG those ears!!!!  reminds me of something and I cant put my finger on it!!!!!  so cute!!!

Sweet Dax!!!  hope everything went well!
It went OK for a first time. I learned things for the future if I have to do it again. Unless I am really impressed I will just take cockerels to the swap and let the Hispanics and others who come for dinner take care of it.
Please don't say cockerels around me right now. I ordered Welsummer pullets, and they are both male, 2/12 hatchery RIR pullets are male, two of three Sapphires are male, as of today 8/13 Heritage RIR are cockerels, and the only one I wanted cockerels from the BBS Ameruacana at least three of four if not all four are pullets. :he
