I almost wish it had melted. I would buy a new oven, or bring in the old one from the garage. It may be from the forties, but the oven still works.

Our beautiful Biel roo just attacked our 6 year old... She told me he did it yesterday too- I didn't believe her and had her go in the run where he couldn't see me. He's only 4 months old, with no spurs yet. He indeed came around the run, right for her, with his hackle feathers puffed and his chest out. I had always said I'd have a no tolerance policy... He's so gorgeous, but not more than our little girl. I told her I was so sorry I didn't believe her and that Big Handsome would be gone by morning

I'm sorry. At least she didn't get hurt.

Intergrated to flocks of polish silver laced today. Started with seven down to 5 but everyones being very poliet. Sheesh about time.

Ok. So I have 21 chicks out. I think two are DIS, but one egg has an internal pip. I can hear it chirping but no external pip. The first chick was out at 6 am yesterday...do I do anything yet?

)... My resident lynchman, our neighbor, is on his way over now. Big Handsome also sealed his fate with his 4:15am wake up call this morning... Not cool. It's my birthday.

This incubator is very strange. Every few days, it either spikes or drops, depending on which way I turned the thermostat last time. A few days ago, it jumped to 102. I caught it and turned the thermostat down a quarter turn. It went stable at 100. Now, this morning, I woke up and it was at 97! I turned it up a quarter turn, and it is back at 100. It is like a delayed reaction?

Ambient temp has been the same.

I am sure by now you know that it takes up to a day for the temps to settle, and that the babies growing adds heat. So I am sure that isn't the issue.

I have a hova bator that does that I think the disk might need replacing :-/
