I was trying to read it and was laughing and crying so hard I couldn't see any more.

Chili sounds good. But why are the cook-offs always in extremely hot weather?

My wife's favorites are 'Scorned Woman', 'Rio Grande Mud', and 'Carolina Butt Burner'.

In my case, most is self inflicted.

I am glad you enjoyed the joke.
I have no idea. I used to ask the same question. Wing offs around here used to be on Mother's Day. I understand Father's Day, but ...
I think I have tried all but the butt burner.

I hear you on that.
Good morning everyone!!

Phil, I love hot stuff, but chili is one thing that I like less hot.

I fermented some peppers last year. Thought around Christmas I'd use the fermented peppers to make hot sauce. I never did. All 4 jars are still happily fermenting away.
I can agree that food should be tasted, not simply felt. But, I do believe that if you don't need a few tissues, the chili isn't hot enough.
Yeay, fermenting jalapenos!!

Thanks to the most awesome guy in the world, I was able to till my garden. Not only did he get the tiller working, but he made sure I knew how to use it, and that I could get it between the rows in the garden!
Unfortunately... I put up a wall of deer netting to keep the birds out. The tiller caught once, and I only had to cut a little. The second time, I didn't even know that the netting had blown that far into the garden, and gotten covered with dirt. So, that was a huge mess. I cut my hand that time, and lost a lot of netting. It took about fifteen (felt much longer!) minutes to cut the tiller out. I still have not gotten the netting out of the tiller. I will work on it soon. I needed to take a break from the voices screaming in my head.

I'm saving this one. I haven't laughed that hard in a long time.

I went to a chili cook-off on the beach in St. Thomas. It was one of the most godawful hot days I've ever experienced. It was so hot it wasn't much fun even with the ocean right there.

CC....they also said he was trained and ISIS follower...your said more but with a24/7 News cycle we have to wait to get all the facts....but we all know the elephant in the room

During the night I was watching it on CNN international before they knew how bad it was. This morning I've been getting the news from CBS.
I missed the BBC report this morning.

Good morning Pensmaster, how the broody hens doing? I took eggs away from one the other day, and 2 more today. They're from the wrong flock.

Broodies are sill at it. The beginning of this was May 28 so there's still awhile to go. Plus eggs that have been added. I'll be putting into incubator those that don't hatch when hens abandon them when chicks come along. I'll also move rooster and other two hens out of their pen.

Do you plan on setting any?

They're usually pretty quick to surmise terrorism. I'll turn that channel on to see if I'm right.
Yeah, I'm right - they're reporting ISIS connection.

I can't watch much more, I have chores before I go to our Sustainable Backyard Tour.

Tillers eat everything. Sorry for the mess.

Thanks for the chili judging story. Still laughing.
