Agree, dont show her the actual killing, but I think that the butchering is another thing.
What is the purposes, of showing her?

The butchering is fine, yes. I would keep everything as tidy as possible in case she couldn't handle the butchering part. I would stop, and take her inside. Probably put her in the playroom with the gate up, and finish cleaning in the kitchen. The purpose being that I am alone. If she is here, and I didn't do the deed while she was asleep, she may need to be there when I do it.

It is wonderful to eat your own cattle! This is somthing that I will NEVER have! I really wish .....

They are not our cattle, they belong to a friend but we help with chores sometimes, and help him hay the fields and in return we get free hay and beef

You don't currently do the butchering inside? I dispatch and pluck them outside but everything else is done in the kitchen sink.

You think that in cultures that this is they way of life, they hide it from their children ?

No way least cultures I've had experiences with lol they always want to purchase our pets for supper.

BTW DO NOT order the black pudding for dessert in a Trini restaurant.(it's def not dark chocolate as the french or Americans may assume!)

I eat beef al the time! But sadly not the one that I KNOW how it grow up!
