Top of the morning to you chaos
Don't I know it. It wouldn't be so bad if it cooled off at night. It is 4:45 AM - 81F and 73% humidity. Not even a good breeze - 4mph wind. The humidity you have to put up with is scary. We are a very dry heat most of the time. I have gable vent fan on house. Coop has the chimney that draws heat out.
Every new building gets bigger windows than the one before. My last 2 buildings basically have 1/3 of both the east and west wall open. The breeze blows right through at roost height - year round. It is all in how much airflow and your temperatures. We are all learning. This is my first full summer, as I started at the end of July last year.

Works for me. I just was worried about predators (if it would be secure enough).Cut the welded wire 1.5" x 2" larger than the opening. Use self-tapping screws w/large washers near the crosspieces of the wire, if all that makes any sense. That should hold it, even if it ain't so pretty.
