@Sally Sunshine What bigger and better things???
Yes, I am sure on the ankle. It is fine now for everyday things, but jumping pushing off, landing hard, kicking, and other explosive movements especially on a non solid surface like mats are not back yet. I know it is getting much stronger though because I had a board move under me the other day at the barn and it did not give or make me go down to protect it. I just hope it will be good to go for my Mt. Baker area artisian point hike next month in WA state.
I am selling some birds soon too. I am just deciding my priorities and then I want fewer just keeping the best.
Cant tell you

YET, and you need to be very careful doing that fancy foot work you do! So the hike will help you get stronger? what exercises do you have to do for it? I sold all of the project roos and only kept two hens, I will keep them under a BCM for now. and maybe go down to one. IDK depends on egg color I guess

How about we do a contest

What can I win?

I know lots of people use it as their bible but I'm not the biggest fan of Storey's.

My short list of books I recommend are Gail Damerow's 'Chicken Health Handbook'. That's a must have.
For small holders and backyarders Patricia Foreman's 'City Chicks'.
And for words of wisdom from a lifelong poultry man, Kelly Klober's 'Talking Chicken'. He's the author of many books on swine and poultry - and a good friend of mine.

Taking the eggs out of the turner would lower the temp of their surroundings. Without knowing more about your situation I'm reluctant to give advice.

If you always incubate at the same temperature and your incubator holds temps well. Judge by when they hatch. If they hatch early, your temps were likely high throughout. If they hatch late, they were likely low.

She's a great dog. Well trained, excellent recall and so obedient. I think I'm giving her back today because my friend is supposed to be discharged.
I just wrote all those down! Yeah, I'm getting to be less and less of a fan of Storey's, too. Time for more books!

Sorry, I don't know that I'm being clear. The eggs were higher up (of course) when they were in the egg turner, and thus closer to the heater. So since I took the egg turner out for lockdown, the eggs are lower and a little cooler down there.

I'm jealous. I want a dog that listens!

I wouldn't want to give her back!

Not sure what went on, but you are welcome to stay but be clear in your posts! Do you have hobbies other than chickens and dirt bikes with girls on the back? I breed English Springer Spaniels, I love them and two silly goats are really sweet too!!

The same! You dan add, dinosaur, first stage of compost, good only for soup, ect

:lau  :bow  :old
Those are good. I'll have to remember. Especially first stage of compost.

in this thread I have caused trouble in other threads but if I cause anymore trouble in the next 90 days I will be banned

Then my best advice is to keep your comments confined to things about chickens, don't post the same thing multiple times and don't flame or annoy for the next 90 days.

I know you can do that.

:thumbsup
