You're here

Good morning. BTW I typed you too last night after you wished me a good night. Apparently, it disappeared instead of posting.

At least I'm not the only one.....

Good morning everyone
Nah, your fine @MotorcycleChick, I just miss people at times since I am mobile and hurrying in breif times at work when I can post. I am debating the broody thing with this heat here. Good luck with yours.

Morning Dax!!!!

Unfortunately, I found a local handyman yesterday. He will be by this afternoon to fix the faucets that have been leaking for about two months. I plan on having the cinnamon rolls come out as he is arriving. Is that mean (if he is diabetic and can't have any) or smart (he will be more likely to give me good prices)?

Could be smart unless he's paranoid that somebody is trying to poison him.

So the company of a nice woman with freshly baked cinnamon rolls will probably sound like a good thing to him than.

What about me with cinnamon rolls?

Maybe he will think you want something else fixed.....:lau.......;)

He really needs to post a poop picture.

Regarding the shell temp... Just measured the shell temp of a pea egg that I have under an OEGB and it was 102.8. @DuckGirl77 @ChickenCanoe

Thanks. That's interesting. So, is that what a chicken egg's shell temp should be, or a pea egg's shell temp?
Hey all thank you for the support. I really need it. We lost the first chick about 5 pm and at 9:45 PM the second breathed it's last in DH2B's hand.

It also pooped as isn't uncommon in death but the stool was bloody and I take that as confirmation. The water is being treated and o have been syringe feeding them raw egg yolk laced with corid and electrolytes.

Is there anything else we can do? Am I doing anything wrong?

Would it hurt the littles inside to be put on a preventative dose? What age can they safely be given the corid?

As for the fox we look for it every night and wait up trying to catch it in the act. The flock has always been locked up every night. We are, however, locking them up earlier BC of it now but we never know when it will come.

What kind of fox? He sounds pretty bold! That's good that you're locking the chickens up early. The grey fox at our house came somewhere around 5:00-5:30, so that's what I have to do, too.

My phone is misbehaving, hello to all those that are still on. Here are my latest hatch photos!

Awww they are so adorable!
