When it was passing through my town, I volunteered "standing watch" a couple mornings, from 4 am to 8 am. It was amazing!!! We had families come through that didn't know anyone on the wall, that just wanted their kids to see it, to adults looking for their father on the wall to old men looking for the friends.. Some just stood there and cried.

I loved seeing it at sunrise. Also when it was dark, and the wall was lit up, it was beautiful. I'm glad you had a chance to go see it!!!

the traveling wall awwwww

Contrary to popular belief, I like cats. I think they're amazing animals, they just need to be indoors for their protection and wildlife.
We have a really cool cat that won't go outside.

:thumbsup
It's something all should see and ponder before considering war as an option.
Most of the names on that wall were poor and middle class people. Very few rich and children of congressmen.

Tis still true today....even with a volunteer force.....but i will refrain from getting political with my friend Canoe.....war is a BAD thing but we can also see what failure to act does too......so with that it was a tear filled evening for me.

LOL MC  you didnt leave her like that did you!

  Dont ask.... it works fine to grab eggs out of the coop, just not when a broody is on them. and the ring truly is great when your standing trying hard to reach and do two things at once oh and half blind

No, I let him have a break, then finished. He is afraid of all grooming. Even after six years, he still doesn't even like being brushed.
I would pay for a groomer, but even I can do a better job than they can because of all of his shaking and crying. For me at least, he just looks nervous. Because he trust me not to hurt him, it is easier for me to do it. Not to mention a whole heck of a lot cheaper!
When it comes to trimming his nails, I am paws down his best option. He never has any problem with me doing that. It never even looks like the groomers touch his nails.

I just went to check on the critters, and there is a second hen in the box. I covered my hand with a sweatshirt, and put it in front of the second hen. The first hen kept attacking me, but the second hen seemed okay with me. Being so late in the evening, I think they are both brooding together. I did see a brown egg in between their bodies.
If they are brooding together, it at least should mean that no one else would be laying fresh eggs in there.

@Jessie

That's SO moving about kids getting to read it. Your bringing tears to my eyes how powerful&positive. Thank you for sharing.

As for me just hearing about it and remembering.
