Like the eggs I got from chaos but those were earlier, mine ended up croaking blood rings in the first few days after I set them.

My broodies kept their chicks for two months, so two weeks of seperation should get them back with the flock in plenty of time. I just wait until they are big enough they can run fast and are strong enough one peck won't knock them over.
Sooo cute!! Man, I need a house serama. :love

I am only eating 1,000 calories a day right now to take off the twenty five pounds I gained with my ankle injury and a few from winter. Some things have too many calories. I had three eggs for dinner last night and some cantaloupe. I wish my metabolism worked better, but that is what it takes for me go loose. I can giain weight at 1800 calories. I have a friend that has the opposite problem and the doctor recommended 5,000 calories a day to him. I wish we both could split and settle for 3,000. That would be wonderful, but it is never going to happen.

Jeez Dax that's not very many calories.....can't be very healthy...i always cut back on carbs and never really watch calories.....don't know any it works but it does.

What is the temperature on your counter?

It can be pretty warm on hot days.

-Kathy
ahhhhhh no ac?
We have AC, but it costs too much to run it.

-Kathy
I would die without it, I would go shoeless and bare butt before I wouldnt pay for ac just sayin

Well said! Thanks for the links!!

I had indoor/outdoor cats growing up and they would survive 2 to 5 years. After 3 cats in a row of getting hit by a car, I kept my next cats inside. I have had 4 of them live for more than 20 years. The ones I lost earlier than that one died from heart disease, one from brain cancer and one old age (an older stray I had adopted). I JUST lost my indoor cat to a coyote when he snuck out one night. My tenants have had 3 outdoor cats, now they have one that is too afraid to go outside. The other two disappeared. I'm sure they were food for the wildlife.

Many years ago, I had a roommate that had an indoor/outdoor cat. First time I caught it with a bird in it's mouth I hit it with a broom till he let the bird go. After that I put a bell on his collar. He stopped bringing home gifts after the bell was added.

I also find that just having a cat in the house, keeps the mice away. Any time I've been in a cat free house, we've had mice.

I lost all my other quotes. I love the tiny goat photos, the pup in the kennel smiling, and all the other critters!!
Contrary to popular belief, I like cats. I think they're amazing animals, they just need to be indoors for their protection and wildlife.
We have a really cool cat that won't go outside.

The Vietnam War Memorial wall was in Marquette so we went to see our this evening.....i lost it.....too many names on that wall
thumbsup.gif

It's something all should see and ponder before considering war as an option.
Most of the names on that wall were poor and middle class people. Very few rich and children of congressmen.
