It was -1C driving to work, crystal clear skies no wind, that equals frost.

Hope my tomatoes are ok! I covered them up so here is hoping!

Thousands without power as 'vigorous cold front' causes wild weather across Tasmania​

Wind gusts of more than 100 kilometres per hour hit the north-west towns of Wynyard and Devonport on Friday morning, according to the Bureau of Meteorology.

A severe weather warning for damaging, destructive winds has been issued for the entire state, as the bureau warns of a "vigorous cold front" moving east across the state.

The front is expected to move south across Tasmania throughout the day, with heavy winds anticipated for Hobart at 9am.

According to TasNetworks, nearly 11,000 homes were without power at 7:30am on Friday due to the severe weather conditions.
