I see. For some reason I was thinking you had posted having X# of eggs in one, and X# in another, etc. I lose track of time, so most of those eggs have probably already hatched by now. It's sad to lose chicks, but it's even sadder to lose one's mind...  

We've had some big hatches in the last month and a half. So you aren't loosing you're mind. I'm down to around 12 dozen in one cabinet.

Nope.... My neighbor's dog, and she was really sorry... rehomed the dog after that. That dog was a killer... killed too much stuff too say.... like 4 10$ turkeys...
He killed her animals too.
I don't use guns.

Well, someone sure should; or gas. Sorry to be so blunt, but that dog's liable to maim a child, or worse, 'specially if the child tries to run from it. That mutt's a menace to society!

Yeah same here, Though I did have to forgive my chihuahua for getting a little too frisky with my bantam hen- after yelling at the dog (Chicken is fine, and broody for first time )

I hope you'll have some more big hatches to replace those lost chicks. Hens still producing enough to restart any time soon?

Any dog that is known to kill had better not set a paw on my place. I'd have to call the owner and tell them to come pick up the pieces! Thing is... I wouldn't be sorry.
