Any dog that is known to kill had better not set a paw on my place. I'd have to call the owner and tell them to come pick up the pieces! Thing is... I wouldn't be sorry.

You'd better believe it! I love dogs...bred & raised them for 40+ years, but they wouldn't get a 2nd chance to kill my stock before I introduced them to my brother, Winchester

Well... Not exactly strays, they have an owner but he just lets them run loose... They aren't nice to humans either... The dogs, anyway. I do call the police when chicken killers come around.

Lots, you mean.... That dog got rehomed, but these people have lots of dogs... Usually 2 at a time come over.

It's only a matter of time though. And my fence is unburied. Coop is pretty sturdy, though....

Forget the police; they got other fish to fry. Call Animal Control if you don't want to handle the problem yourself

My neighbor who used to own the chicken killer has another dog, a beagle, supposed to be a hunter but she protects the chickens! She found an injured one and went over to make sure it was okay.... and she alerts humans when those dogs come around. Doesn't even bother the bantams.

You are correct... it's only a matter of time. Once they've got a taste for blood, they won't stop.
