Morning everyone! I don't remember who posted those duck foot slippers the other day, but I gave them a shot. I'd say if you can knit a glove or a sock you could knock these out in a day. Took me two tries to get the size right, but wasn't too bad.

Question. Are week old eggs ok to incubate still?

I have eggs that arrived yesterday to incubate snd I'm wanting on more eggs this week.

I'm hatching Speckled Sussex, Blue Laced Red Wyandottes, Splash Ameraucanas, Delawares, BO, RIR , BA and BR.

I did open them and the blood ring one and the ones that I thought were infertile were. Do I higher the humidity or lower it if they seem large?

If the aircells are too large you should raise the humidity. By how much... maybe about 5%. Just check them again in a couple of days and adjust as needed to keep them on track.

Too large means they lost too much moisture so the humidity was low and vice versa. If they're way off from what they should be, then change it dramatically for a few days. If they're close then change it slightly.

I don't candle much but I accomplish the same thing by weighing the eggs.

One week is fine. Do you know when the ones that arrived yesterday were laid? That is the key.
You can improve the viability by keeping them around 60F, turning them a couple times a day and if they're to be held longer, wrap them in plastic to prevent too much moisture loss.
