It can't be called organic if the ingredients aren't organic. Fat and salt can be organic.

My point was that rather than make food with healthy ingredients, adding salt, sugar, fat and artificial flavor, they can make crap taste good, even though it provides no health benefits. So it will sell boosting profits.

That is true. However, it just becomes empty calories, like filler. You can get fat and still suffer health wise.
Organic is usually more expensive but if the food is full of nutrients, you don't have to eat as much to sustain oneself.

It is becoming popular enough that prices are coming down. Most of our grocery stores now have an organic section. Competition brings prices down.

The story I saw was that it added protein to the diet from something that would go to waste. They pick them out of trees like fruit. Since then I've learned that it is a Christmas treat in SA.
