22. Four being shared by the broodies, and the other 18 in the incubator. The broodies each had four, but when they finally resettled, they did so in a nest box again. I am hoping that I can get them to stop that once it is time to give chicks back. The one broke the barrier to get into the box, so... It will be fun in a few weeks.

Yes it will. Next Friday/Saturday for my broody if I leave them. Problem is the wire between the coops is not secure enough for the chicks to stay with the hen. So I'll probably finish them in incubator. Don't want to lose chicks to the older hens. Which has happened before. I could put her and chicks in garden area. It's fairly secure. Hmmm.

That, or a sheet around the bottom/coop side. I have had to use a tarp, or bird netting even.

Yes, probably. I get so much email that stuff gets lost...... Sowwy!

So many things could have happened.
