Yea that would be a royal pain trying to cut those with a saw like that. Could always go back to trying a hand saw, I know I've got several of them laying around you could borrow

I don't recommend them for keeping a straight line on more than a 2x4.

They won't fit under the head on a 10" radial arm saw, either.
