The question is, will they let the newborn chicks I put on the floor freeze?
Of course, it will be in the upper 80's to 90's then, but those girls need to start cooperating. I did open a lot of fresh eggs that looked weird, but not all. 14 eggs should not have been bad under those girls.

Is two girls trying to sit on everything at the same time the problem?

It can't be. They went broody a week apart. And when I checked on them, they always were harmonious. IDK. I just ... I am sure these eggs will hatch. Maybe all 22.

Did you crack open all the failures? Maybe they were okay at the beginning but died after the second one joined in.

Sure did! Figured if I had to walk through them, I was loading up while I was there so I had a couple buckets with me

No. LOL! Not even close. Of the 22 (why that number all the time?) mutt eggs I incubated a few months ago, only one was infertile, and 18 hatched. Three DIS.
