I know some rabbits go white in winter, but don't recall which. The bare ground is probably why you're not seeing them; they know they're easily spotted, 'specially by that eagle.Hey kw......did a little poking around the forest with a shotgun yesterday.....didn't get anything though the rabbits should stand out like a sore thumb though.they are white and there's still no snow here....saw a bald eagle but that was it.... Wish the ice would form....
we have snowshoe hares....also called Varying hare.....they are all white right now.....they will sit very still thinking you can't see then....but I wasn't in a good place I was just out helping my brother set coyote traps....
